“If anything ever came out of nothing, it must have been Las Vegas.”
— M. Connelly

When French photojournalist François Paolini saw Las Vegas for the first time in 1999 on his way
east from Los Angeles, he didn't quite know what to make of it. Paolini drove up the strip, snapped a
couple of pictures of casinos, and then continued on his trip. One thing was certain in his mind
though: He had to come back. As an artist, as a journalist, he had to come back to Las Vegas.
Paolini did come back and spent several years photographing Las Vegas in its many aspects.
The resulting book, We All Live in Vegas, has just been published by Stephens Press.
We All Live in Vegas not only shows Las Vegas as a city of bright lights and spectacular
architecture, it also portrays Paolini's notion that Las Vegas exists as both an idea and
model for the future.
Large format shows off 320 unique photos by this world-renown photojournalist.
Dual-language edition with text in both English and French.
Keynote presentation at 2005 Vegas Valley Book Festival.
